On February 21, 2025, the Mother Ignacia Career and Development Center (MICDC), in collaboration with TESDA Davao City, conducted a Micro-Credentials Workshop at the ITRZ, UIC Main Campus. 
This significant event brought together esteemed industry partners from a diverse range of sectors. Director Novielita A. Dispo, the new TESDA Davao City District Director, honored the workshop with her presence and shared an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of modernizing the Philippine Technical Education System. She advocated for a proactive approach to workforce development that aligns with global trends and enhances the agency’s ability to deliver high-quality, demand-driven training.
S. Ma. Marissa R. Viri, RVM, the University President, warmly welcomed the new TESDA Davao City District Director, expressing the institution’s unwavering commitment to supporting TESDA programs.
The workshop was attended by UIC Personnel, including UIC TVI Administrator Ms. Gladys May G. Cuencia, RN, TVET Trainer Ms. Rudrose G. Bondalo, LPT, and Mr. Eric Moreno, Dean of the College of Music.
