The University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) Mobilizing Advanced Research and Innovations to Advocate Nation-Building Technology Business Incubator (UIC MARIAN TBI) proudly congratulates its first cohort of technological startup founders on their graduation from the MARIAN TBI Incubation program on July 21, 2025 at the Rogen Inn!

The ceremony featured several inspiring speeches from key individuals, including Dr. Marybeth B. Lauron, TBI Project Development Officer; Dr. Nathan Ray A. Alim, Asst. Regional Director, R&D for the Development and Innovation Division, Department of Science and Technology, Region XI; Mr. Ray Mari Paulo Rodriguez, Aquila Software CEO; and Hon. Bonz Andre A. Militar, Davao City District 1 Councilor and Committee on Information Technology Chairperson. Attendees also viewed an inspiring video message from Dr. Enrico Paringit, DOST-PCIEERD Executive Director, and heard remarks by Hon. Sebastian Z. Duterte, Davao City Acting Mayor.

In his message, Hon. Bonz Andre A. Militar likened the Davao City Public Internet Center (DCPIC) to a “vital platform for connectivity” and the MARIAN TBI to a “crucial platform for growth” for the incubatees. He added:

“From the perspective of the City, and as member of the Davao City Innovation Council (IDEAS Davao), your success is our city’s success. The city has been working to build a productive ground for an innovation ecosystem to prosper. We know that the next wave of economic growth and social progress will not come from traditional sources alone. It will be driven by technology, by innovative ideas, and by people like you.”

Esteemed representatives from several TBI partner institutions were also in attendance, including Infinity Hub, Aquila Software, Area 51 Information Solutions Services, Quality Travel Hub and Tours, Nutritionist-Dietitians’ Association of the Philippines, UPGRADE INNLOAD INC., Commission on Higher Education XI, Mindanao Times, GUSCC, TTCGI, Leap Home and Special Education Center, Inc., and Davao Central College.

The program also included a presentation of the MARIAN TBI journey via AVP and a heartwarming toast led by Mr. Ceasar Ian P. Benablo, TBI Manager. A closing remark was delivered by Dr. Emma V. Sagarino, TBI Community Development Lead, to conclude the program.
