The University of the Immaculate Conception’s Community Development Service (UIC-CDS) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology XI (BJMP XI). The MOA signing ceremony, held on August 9, 2025, at the UIC Main Auditorium, formalized a partnership with the Davao City Jail – Female Dormitory and Davao City Jail – Annex.
The signing was a key part of the National Service Training Program’s Drug Education initiative. The program included a series of messages from officials, starting with a brief introduction and reading of the MOA by UIC-CDS Director Dr. Corazon Mamon-Umblero.

Messages of support and collaboration were delivered by:
- Jail Chief Inspector Connie P. Sendrijas, City Jail Warden (Female Dormitory)
- Jail Chief Inspector Rovie Ann N. Alcantara, City Jail Warden (Annex)
- Jail Senior Superintendent Rufino M. Santiago Jr., BJMP XI Regional Director
A representative from the lead implementers delivered a thank-you message, and Mr. Ronaldo A. Rivera, Consultant and Recovery Coach for the UIC Kaduyog Sagop Kinabuhi Program, provided the closing remarks.
