UIC Alumnus Among Top 10 Finalists for Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award

Congratulations to the University of the Immaculate Conception College of Nursing (UIC-CN) Alumnus, Fitz Gerald Camacho, RN, Cum Laude graduate of the Class of 2007, on achieving Top 10 finalist status for the prestigious Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2025.

Mr. Camacho recounted his selection as an incredible and humbling experience, providing a platform to highlight his work in pediatric critical care, nursing education, and leadership through a detailed application. He found the demanding yet inspiring evaluation process to have strengthened his dedication to collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing.

In his reflection on this remarkable recognition, Mr. Camacho stated, “Being recognized as one of the Top 10 finalists is both an honor and a responsibility. I feel deeply grateful and proud—not just for myself, but for every nurse who continues to advocate for quality care, innovate in the face of challenges, and uplift the profession. This recognition is a reminder that our work matters and that we can inspire change beyond our hospital walls. Mr. Camacho currently holds the position of Nurse Manager at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai, UAE.
