  • UIC’s information systems, including user accounts, email, and Internet access, are intended to be used for university purposes only. The use of the university’s information systems with the intention of distributing materials and/or software in violation of copyright is illegal and not permitted.
  • All users shall read and agree to the terms and conditions of the ICT services. Users shall not avail of such services unless they agree to the terms and conditions by selecting the “Accept” button online or affixing their signature in corresponding agreement forms.
  • UIC reserves the right to update the terms and conditions at any given time.
  • UIC does not grant a license to any of the software it provides for the end-users.

• Eligibility
  • Services are provided subject to terms herein and may be updated by UIC at any time. UIC reserves the right to discontinue or revise any or all other provisions of the Services at its sole discretion. All such changes shall become effective upon posting to any ICT platform.
  • Users are made eligible to use UIC’s services due to their admission/enrollment, employment to the university, or as a third party granted temporary access. User accounts may have been generated in line with their engagement with UIC and as such, they must agree to these Terms of Use, and other policies of the university.
  • All users must provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself if asked in a registration form.
  • UIC reserves the right to refuse registration of, or cancel, accounts it deems inappropriate.
  • If a user’s account is suspended for any violation of these Terms of Use, our Data Privacy Manual, university policies, or any Cyber laws of the Philippines, UIC reserves the right to impose penalties or refuse refunds.
  • No individual shall avail of the Service(s) if they do not meet these eligibility requirements.

• Privacy Provisions
  • By using the information systems of the university, the user shall abide by the Privacy Policy.
  • The information systems of the university are expected to function properly, and the users can expect the files and data he/she generates to be private information. However, all users should be aware that no information systems are completely secure, hence the university makes no guarantee regarding the availability of data and refuses any liability in the event of data loss. Although, it is expected that the university exercises practical measures to prevent loss of data and to attempt data restoration when applicable

• Force Majeure
  • UIC or its employees shall not be held liable for delays caused by an event of natural disaster, casualty, acts of God, riots, acts of terrorism, governmental acts or such other event of similar nature that is beyond control;

   

• Legal Liability
  • Users shall indemnify and hold harmless UIC and its administrators, and employees from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, claims, payments, liens, judgments, demands, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) that result from any claim, liability, damage or cause of action (including claims of third parties) arising out of or relating to, in whole or in part (a), any act, omission or representation of the User in the use of Service(s); (b) any breach of User’s representations in the use of Service(s).
