The program has gone through a series of transformations since its offering in SY 1961-62 as a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with majors in Accounting, Management, and Marketing. In SY 1991-1992, the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) was offered in lieu of the BSC major in Accounting per CMO permit number 009 Series of 1991 dated June 20, 1991. Since then, the BSA curriculum has undergone various revisions in compliance with CHED orders.  At present, the BSA curriculum is in accordance with CMO No. 27 series of 2017. Major changes took place in accounting education in the academic year 2016-2017 up to the present as it responds to the changes in the Philippines’ educational system. The program decided to include a BS in Accounting Information System and BS in Management Accounting in its pool of degree courses in accounting education starting from 2018-2019. 

Consequently, the Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) was renamed Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) per CMO No. 39 series of 2006. The BSBA program curricula had gone through a lot of revisions. Currently, the BSBA is in accordance with CMO No. 17 series of 2017. Among the five major areas in the CMO, the university offers three majors: Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Human Resource Management.

Since the beginning, the program has always shown its commitment to continuous improvement. The Business Administration program has undergone a series of accreditations. On the 9th of December 2016, the Business Administration Program was granted Level IV Accredited Status by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for having satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled all the requirements of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). It was also granted as Center of Development by the Commission on Higher Education on the 17th of May 2016.

Apart from these accreditations, the program also enjoys the accolade of being accorded ISO 9001:2015 certification, it being one of the Higher Education units of the university.
