The University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) Senior High School Unit, together with faculty, parents, alumni, and community partners, held its 3rd SHS Faculty and 4th SHS students Tree Growing Activity on July 28, 2025. The event took place at the school’s adopted site in the Barangay Tawan-Tawan watershed in Baguio District, Davao City.

With the theme “Nurturing life, Living Hope: UIC’s SHS Community Journeying Together as Stewards of Creation,” the activity had a dual purpose: tree planting and tree caring. New seedlings were planted at the site, while participants also revisited and cared for the trees planted two years prior in 2023. The effort is part of a long-term commitment to the Panigan-Tamugan Watershed.
The event was a collaborative success, bringing together various student organizations, including the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Senior Plus Red Cross Youth Council, Luntian, and the Supreme Student Government (SSG). They were joined by dedicated Senior High School faculty, parents, alumni, and the Bantay Bukid, who have been instrumental in navigating the area and caring for the planted trees.
