Congratulations to the University of the Immaculate Conception College of Medical and Biological Sciences (UIC-CMBS) student, Ms. Janyl Bianica P. Joaquin, for representing the University at the ASEAN Global Youth Summit (AGYS) 2025.
Held from June 24-26, 2025, in Singapore and Malaysia, the summit offered a rich program. This included university immersion and certification programs at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), along with extensive leadership and service training, and an ASEAN regional dialogue for intellectual exchange.
Sharing her insights, Ms. Joaquin expressed, “Having had the opportunity to serve as a youth delegate at AGYS 2025, I’ve grown a deeper heart for service. The experience reminded me of the purpose that first led me to pursue a career in healthcare—to empower fellow changemakers to uplift our communities in the ways we can best contribute, using the skills we’ve learned and the strengths we’ve been blessed with.”
