UIC-College of Computer Studies Dominates the TESDA: 2022 Provincial Skills Competition
Three UIC College of Computer Studies students garnered the Bronze and Gold medals during the TESDA: 2022 Provincial Skills Competition last June 21 – 22, 2022, held at TESDA XI Regional Training Center – Korea Philippines Vocational Training Center, Davao City. Kevin Intong won the higher bronze medal in the provincial category for Graphics Design Technology with his coach, Prof. Cris John David Manero, while Jericho Paolo C. Opsima won the Gold medal in the provincial category for IT Software Solutions For Business together with his coach Isaiah Evans A. Villa Abrille. Lastly, Ned Isaiah B. Palacios also won a Gold medal in the provincial category for Web Technologies with his coach Ceasar Ian P. Benablo.
The TESDA: 2022 Provincial Skills Competition is a movement dedicated to the transforming power of vocational skills and education. The competition aims to motivate young people to pursue excellence, create a passion for skills, enhance industry participation, and develop skills through digital training standards, benchmarking systems, and industry engagement. In addition, through collaboration and research, the competition hopes to influence corporations, governments, and educators, resulting in a worldwide platform of skills for everyone.
