UIC-BSCS Student Accepted for Oral Presentation at International Conference on Computational Linguistics
Congratulations to Ms. Jenn Leana Fernandez, 4th year BS in Computer Science student, and her adviser Ms. Kristine Mae Adlaon, for having their paper accepted for oral presentation in the 5th Workshop on Technologies for Machine Translation of Low-Resource Languages (LoResMT) at the 29th International Conference on Computational Linguistics (COLING) to be held in Gyeongju, the Republic of Korea.
The International Conference on Computational Linguistics is one of the premier conferences for natural language processing and computational linguistics. From October 12-17, several workshops will be conducted including LoResMT, a workshop that provides a discussion panel for researchers working on MT systems/methods for low-resource and under-represented languages.
