The Information Technology Education (ITE) program of the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) has continued to prove its competitive edge by garnering top spots in the Philippine Society of Information Technology Education Students (PSITS) Region XI Festival and the IT Olympiad organized by the Council of Deans in IT Education (CDITE) XI.
ITE DINOMITES, as the program is now being called, has once again landed as the OVERALL CHAMPION during the annual PSITS XI Festival. This is the third time that the program received the prestigious award making it a back-to-back-to-back win. The program fought a victorious fight against more than 20 colleges and universities in the whole Region XI.
This year’s Festival was a bit different from the previous ones because it was schedule to run for 3 consecutive weekends on different venues including AMA Computer College, Ateneo de Davao University, DMMA College of Southern Philippines and Abreeza Mall making it the longest celebrated festival so far.
Events still include the crowd’s favorite like sports, board games, media fest and the pageant. Dance Sports was added this year as one of the new attraction. However, Mr. and Ms. PSITS XI which was held during the culminating and awarding activity last March 2, 2014 remained to be the highlight of the entire festival.
The following were the different events during the PSITS XI Festival and IT Olympiad where UIC-ITE has earned a spot:

With higher expectations from last year’s triumph , UIC-ITE has once again proven themselves to be great and competitive yet fair fighters. This was made possible with the collaboration of the ITE faculty, the officers and the ever active students.
