The External Affairs & Public Relations Office is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships between internal and external key stakeholders, such as, but not limited to the following: government agencies, non-government organizations (NGOs), international bodies and industries. It is responsible for enhancing the University’s public image and brand. In line with relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders, the Office organizes and attends invitations to external affairs events and meetings and coordinates internal and external engagements and represents the President in meetings and other fora and liaises at all levels internally and externally as directed by the President. It helps coordinate the University’s efforts to position itself strategically in the minds of the public and private sectors.
During the first semester of AY 2014-2015, the Alumni Affairs Office joined the former for the same goals: effective public relations in and outside the university, both locally and internationally, and establishment of linkage with and continuous communication among graduates found locally and abroad. It is the aim of the Office to maintain and strengthen University ties with all sectors including and especially with the alumni and successful graduates for their faithful involvement in school gatherings and the creation of a continued commitment, pride and loyalty to the ideals of the University.
In line with establishment and strengthening of linkages with both local and foreign establishments and institutions, part of the Alumni Office’s functions is the updating of the alumni directory, and seeing to job placement of graduates and graduating students of the various program offerings of the University.
