The University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) has achieved an impressive leap in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, particularly under Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being.
This year, UIC proudly placed in the 301–400 bracket globally, substantially improving from its 801–1000 ranking in 2024.
Out of 1,788 institutions worldwide assessed for SDG 3, UIC now stands as the 3rd top-performing university in the Philippines and ranks 1st in Mindanao, marking a historic milestone for the institution and the region.
Moreover, UIC maintained solid performance across other SDGs:
- SDG 1: No Poverty – Ranked 601–800, from 801–1000 in 2024.
- SDG 5: Gender Equality – Also placed at 601–800, an increase from the 1001+ tier.
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – Now in the 1001–1500 range, rising from 1501+.
Overall, UIC was ranked 1501+ out of 2,318 qualified institutions worldwide. These results reaffirm UIC’s growing impact and unwavering commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, manifesting its steadfast pursuit to become a sustainable university that actively responds to the needs of the nation and the global community.
