CARES with a BIG HEART

It is the boast of the University of the Immaculate Conception that any student or graduate of the Grade School Department CARES with a BIG HEART. These words are acronyms for the program that guides it (CARES), the qualities it aims to develop in its students (BIG), and what it would take to make the students rise up to their full potential (HEART).

CARES is Commitment to Academic Resources Enhancement and Services. BIG is Brilliant, Innovative, God-fearing. HEART is Harness, Excel, Act, Respect, Transform.

Through CARES the students’ innate talents and capabilities are recognized and cultivated; their

strengths surfaced and their needs fulfilled.

•  TEACHERS are highly trained through seminar-workshops, group discussions, conferences and demonstration teachings.
•  Teachers gain outside expertise and access to time and resources to make them understand their students better, and to produce functional and effective visual aids that facilitate dynamic learning activities.
•  Teachers integrate Ignacian core values to promote the intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual and moral growth of their students.
